To The ReaderOver the years of mothering my four children, the Lord has convicted me to go deeper in my prayer life on their behalf. While praying for their daily physical needs is appropriate, I believe as parents, we have the opportunity to bless their hearts with so much more. Praying God's word over our children will not only bless them now, but also for years and years to come. Within this journal, I have selected a passage from God's word, and then written a correlating prayer beside the verses. I hope these passages and prayers will be helpful to you as you pray God's word into your child's heart. He hears and answers,Chris Baxter

Daily Prayer

Being refined ...

For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.  Psalm 66: 8-12

Dear Lord,

When we don't always know why things are happening, and it seems that darkness is prevailing, cause our hearts to trust you all the more. Help us in the storm; refine us in the fire; and bring us into a place of abundance. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
