To The ReaderOver the years of mothering my four children, the Lord has convicted me to go deeper in my prayer life on their behalf. While praying for their daily physical needs is appropriate, I believe as parents, we have the opportunity to bless their hearts with so much more. Praying God's word over our children will not only bless them now, but also for years and years to come. Within this journal, I have selected a passage from God's word, and then written a correlating prayer beside the verses. After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent a message to them saying, "Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, say it." Acts 13:15
Dear Lord,
If we have any word of encouragement to give to our brothers and sisters, help us to say it. Open our mouths with the hope that is found in you. May we be your vessels, poured out, bringing your life-giving words to many. Amen.
