Most High God,
The lure of being "the best" is so prevalent and deceiving in our culture in academics, in athletics, in appearance, in position… on and on. Please help my children not to worship any of these things as gods; instead, create in them the desire to USE THEIR GIFTS and abilities to worship You ALONE, no matter the place or position You have CHOSEN for them.
As for me I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness. Psalm 17:5
Dear Lord,
May our heart's desire be to look more and more like you. As we hold up the mirror of your living word, groom and grow us into your beautiful image so that all those around us behold your winsome love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
