Most High God,
The lure of being "the best" is so prevalent and deceiving in our culture in academics, in athletics, in appearance, in position… on and on. Please help my children not to worship any of these things as gods; instead, create in them the desire to USE THEIR GIFTS and abilities to worship You ALONE, no matter the place or position You have CHOSEN for them.

Dear Lord Jesus,
When we begin to feel overwhelmed by the calculated tactics of our enemy, remind us of the greater strength that abides in us through your Spirit. Speak the truth to our hearts and minds once again, and then help us to rise up and crush all lies that the Deceiver sends our way. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
