December 3 ~ He is the Son of God, One with God

By Chris Baxter

Ephesians 4:4-6

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Philippians 2:2-5

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

John 10:30

Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.”

I Timothy 2:5-6a

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and man, the man Jesus Christ who gave Himself as a ransom for all...”

Hebrews 1:3

His Son...is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.

My Child,
I am the Son of God. All the majesty and power that exists in God My Father also dwells in Me. I came to earth to be the bearer of His invisible image (Colossians 1:15). Look to Me, my character, as I walked My life out on earth, and you will see God. Learn from Me, and you will find peace.

Someone we should imitate...

You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

John 13:13-14

Dear Lord,

Help me realize that the greatest accomplishment I could ever achieve in my life is to quietly mimic you. May I not seek my own glory, but rather, please fill me with yours--the kind that radiates love, bends the knee, and washes feet. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
