I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
Eph 4:1-6
Dear Holy Father,
I pray that my children would embrace their high calling of being Your child. Give them a heart's desire to follow you, step by step. Fill them with humility, gentleness, patience, and love for each other. May they be diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. O God, You are the One true God who reigns on high and in our hearts. I ask that Your Spirit would work mightily through each of my children according to the different gifts that you have given them.
So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
Psalm 63: 4-7
Dear Lord,
Turn our mind towards you morning, noon, and night! When we start to feel anxious, fill us with your words of hope and peace. "Fatten us up" with your rich and abundant truths! Nothing about you is unhealthy--you are pure and good and right--and we can feast on your word as much as we want! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
