Respite For the Weary
…for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consist of all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

Sweet Redeemer,
I humbly thank you for pulling my children out of the darkness and into Your light! I pray they will have a strong desire to daily walk in Your light, drawing from Your strength each step. Please give them a heart that seeks to please You, not themselves.
After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent a message to them saying, "Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, say it." Acts 13:15
Dear Lord,
If we have any word of encouragement to give to our brothers and sisters, help us to say it. Open our mouths with the hope that is found in you. May we be your vessels, poured out, bringing your life-giving words to many. Amen.
