Respite For the Weary
For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all. Therefore all died; and He died for all, that they should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. therefore from now on we recognize no man according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things passed away; behead, new things have come!

Dear Lord God,
It is my greatest heart's desire for Your powerful love to control the hearts of my children. Give them a humbled willingness to die to themselves daily, and then to LIVE with Your Spirit reigning inside each of them. Help them cling to the beautiful truth that old things have passed away; and yes, new things have come! Cause my children to WALK in this newness of life.

Dear Lord,
When we turn to you with a repentant heart, you promise to redeem every lawless deed (Titus 2:14)! No sin is too great to be covered by your mercy, and no mess is too hopeless to be restored with your grace. Thank you for loving us in spite of us. You delightfully call us your own.
