Respite For the Weary
For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all. Therefore all died; and He died for all, that they should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. therefore from now on we recognize no man according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things passed away; behead, new things have come!

Dear Lord God,
It is my greatest heart's desire for Your powerful love to control the hearts of my children. Give them a humbled willingness to die to themselves daily, and then to LIVE with Your Spirit reigning inside each of them. Help them cling to the beautiful truth that old things have passed away; and yes, new things have come! Cause my children to WALK in this newness of life.
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6
Dear Lord,
Please fill us with your strength so we can walk and not faint. Fill us with your joy so we can look up and not down. Fill us with your hope so we can move forward not backward. Fill us with your truth so we can sow bountifully not sparingly. Come Lord Jesus, enter in! In your Name, Amen.
