Respite For the Weary
For this reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance, godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
II Peter 1: 5-9
Dear Lord Jesus,
I praise You and thank You for the faith that each of my children possess in their heart. For faith in You is the foundation in which they can build upon. Give them a desire to build, I pray. Cause them to make every effort to add to their faith goodness, knowledge, self-control, godliness, perseverance, brotherly kindness, and love. Yes, Lord make them effective and productive as they grow in their knowledge of You.
But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” Acts 3:6
Dear Lord,
Speak healing words to our crippled hearts for the sake of your name. Heal us with your power so that each of us may rise up and walk into the places you lead us. May we share your hope and bear your light to the broken world around us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
