Respite For the Weary
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives; and freedom to the prisoners.
Isiah 61:1
Dear God in Heaven,
I thank You and praise You that Your Spirit lives in each one of my children. I ask You to rise up in them, O Lord - open their eyes to the afflicted, the brokenhearted, the lost. Make them know and understand that their PURPOSE in life is to take Your saving LOVE to the world.
The Lord said to Moses, "Gather the people together, so that I may give them water." Then Israel sang this song: "Spring up, O well!..." Numbers 21:16-17
Dear Lord,
You are the living water that our souls thirst for. May we daily drink from your life-giving word, so that we are revived. Fill us to overflowing. Then cause our hearts to sing the beautiful song of old, "Spring up, O well...!" In Jesus' Name, Amen.
