Respite For the Weary
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives; and freedom to the prisoners.
Isiah 61:1
Dear God in Heaven,
I thank You and praise You that Your Spirit lives in each one of my children. I ask You to rise up in them, O Lord - open their eyes to the afflicted, the brokenhearted, the lost. Make them know and understand that their PURPOSE in life is to take Your saving LOVE to the world.
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. Genesis 12:2
Dear Lord,
Please help us to realize that the blessings you give us are not for us to keep to ourselves; rather, they are a means in which we give to others. Give us generous hearts in every way. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
