Respite For the Weary
"And I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart."
Jeremiah 24: 7
Dear God of Grace,
I pray that you will give my children a heart to KNOW You. May they hear and receive Your loving words of devotion: "they will be My people and I will be their God." When they wander from Your presence, please chase them down with Your love, I pray; and cause them to return to You with a whole heart.
After the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing... And behold, a voice came to him. - 1 Kings 19:12-13
Dear Lord, today,
Help me to rise above all the ongoing clamor so I can hear your kind and gentle words of truth. Please calm the storm within me even if it continues to rage about. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
