Respite For the Weary
Thus says the Lord,
"Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not the rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things, " declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 9: 23-24
Dear Exercising God,
The cry of Your heart is for Your children to understand and know You! Continue to show my children who You are: a God who delights in lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness. May this become what they boast about, nothing else.
I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. Psalm 77:12-14
Dear Lord,
We praise you for who you are: strong and mighty, holy and just, good and gracious. Please hear our reverent cries today. We ask you to work wonders among your people for your Name's sake. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
