A Passage and A Prayer... Psalm 42:1-2,5

By Chris Baxter

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? …Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.

Psalm 42: 1-2, 5

Dear Abundant One,
When my children's souls become thirsty, I pray they will run to You. Cause them to take a long refreshing drink from Your living water, O God, so that they can withstand any doubt caused by disturbing circumstances in their personal lives. Make them realize You are their only hope. Fill them, so they can then pour out praise to Your name.

Daily Prayer

Command your angels...

Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place--the Most High, who is my refuge--no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will lift you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:9-11

Dear Lord,

You are our dwelling place, the strong fortress that guards our soul. In your presence, our hearts have unshakeable peace. Almighty God, we beg of you today to command your angels to guard those who are in desperate need of physical protection. Do your supernatural work on behalf of your people. In Jesus Name, Amen.
