Respite For the Weary
The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
Zephaniah 3:17
Dear Lord of Might,
I pray that my children would KNOW that You are always in their midst as a VICTORIOUS WARRIOR! Help them to believe that You are pleased with them - cheering for them, encouraging them, soothing them - cause them to receive YOU, I pray.
He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?" Luke 8: 25
Dear Lord,
Forgive us when the storms of life engulf us. Realign our faith to you, the One who can calm the wind and the waves with a few commanding words. Rather than being overwhelmed by our trials, we ask you to overwhelm us with your power and your peace. Amen.
